Announcement
of the Examplary Catholic Elderly and Grateful Children for the year
2007 |
The
Catholic Committee on the Elderly organized a meeting to finalize
the announcement of the exemplary Catholic elderly and grateful children
and decided the 28th April 2007 at the Our Lady of the Songkhon Martyrs
Place. |
The
Catholic Committee on the Elderly has continuously carried out the
'Grateful Children Project' at the parochial, diocesan and national
level until the 'grateful children' at the diocesan level were identified.
The award ceremony was organized on 27 May 2004 at St. Peter's Church,
Sampran. The next step is to move further on the "Model Catholic
Elderly Project." |
After
the annual meeting on 16 November 2006 at the Pastoral Training Center,
Sampran, the resolution was passed that for the year 2007 the 'Model
Catholic Elderly' project should be carried out. The committee will
prepare a format in terms of credits to be given, CV and various informative
data about the elderly candidate. Coordination will be made with concerned
diocesan persons, while each diocese is free to amend the formula
in selecting the candidate suitable to the locality. The filled application
should be forwarded to the Central Elderly Committee within 28 February
2007. |
As
for the number of 'grateful children' and 'model Catholic elderly'
each diocese is allowed to submit only 1 candidate per project with
the exception of the archdioceses of Tharae and Bangkok where up to
3 candidates can be submitted. |
