| Activities of the Elderly of Nakhonsawan Diocese |
| Committee members of the Elderly Groups of Nakhonsawan organized a planning meeting to conduct a seminar for all the network groups on 25 August 2007 at the meeting room of St. Ann Cathedral of Nakhonsawan with 16 elderly members from the various Church groups. |
| The meeting discussed about the relevant documents and formats which must be processed in 2008. A speaker then spoke about the rules and regulations in establishing a public welfare organization of the network groups in order to be able to sustain a self-dependent association. At present there are 2 groups in action, i.e. St. Ann Cathedral Elderly Group and the Holy Name of Jesus Elderly Group of Banpaeng, Singburi. The next group to be established is St. Nicolas Elderly Group of Pitsanulok. |
| The central committee requested that they be informed of the meeting date and activities so that they can plan their visit. At the moment they are planning to establish a new elderly group of O. Lady of Lourdes Church, Saraburi. |
| Currently the diocese of Nakhonsawan is planning to prepare a handbook for the elderly which will include: 1. Rules and Regulations, 2. Roles and duties, 3. Work plan and project, 4. Work output during a period of no less than 1 year, and 5. Registration and CV of the member. |
| This year the committee has a plan to organize a seminar at the diocesan level on 3-4 November 2007 at the Carmelite Monastery in Nakhonsawan and will invite all the elderly with enough good health to participate in the said seminar. |
