The Catholic Commission for Health Pastoral Care facilitates the exposure trip to the Bishops of India
The Health Pastoral Care Commission had been contacted by Rev. Alex, secretary general of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India, to organize an exposure trip on AIDS to their 3 Bishops during 10-12 May with special focus on the activities of the Church on this regard. The purpose of this trip is to familiarize the Indian Bishops with the Thai Church's methodology in fighting AIDS, because the Indian Catholic Commission for Health Pastoral Care is getting financial support from UNAIDS and Global Fund.

The CHC, therefore, brought the 3 Bishops to visit Baan Suk Ruethai, Baan Lorenzo, Camillian Social Center, Rayong and the community work carried out by the Mercy Sisters.

The 3 said Bishops had already been exposed to the AIDS work in Cambodia. And with the observational experiences in Thailand they should be able to understand what to be done, how to begin and the need for coordination and networking.
