Current Clients : Stella Maris Centre, Songkhla, has been set up to provide pastoral care to seafarers and workers in sea going ships. Stella Maris Centre, Songkhla, Provides assistance to indivuals and groups on an humanitarain basis.

Target group
1. Seafarers and seamen.
2. Workers on fishing boats and in the fishing indusry along sea ports and their family members, especcialy foreigners.
3. fishing workers the who are HIV positives or have other health problems and do not have any helping hands.
4. Detainees, especialy those who do not have relatives.
Target Area

Objectives
1. To provide knowledge, understanding and correct knowledge on HIV/AIDS to its target groups with an emphasis to help the target groups to be aware of dangers and consequences of HIV/AIDS, and a need to help prevent its infection.
2. To visit and give encouragement to the sick and help their families to help themselves, as well as giving assistance on proper care of PLWHA.
3. To develop worker and community leaders with knowledge on HIV/AIDS and develop partners in HIV/AIDS prevention.
4. To give counselling to PLWHA and interested people who need counselling.
5. To Coordinate with state agencies involved in medical care of PLWHA.
6. To give assistance to deainees, especially those who do not have relatives.
Activities
1.
Organise training for workers and fishing workers at the fishing ports and in the communities and their living quarters
2. Hold meetng of volunteers to build capacity of community leaders and promote on going prevention campaigns.
3. Give counselling and assistance to those who have problems related to HIV/AIDS
4. Provide temporary shelter for seamen who are HIV positive, PLWHA and those who need accommondation for rehabilitation.
5. Provide temporary shelter for PLWHA
6. Visit ships and fishing boats at sea ports to study working conditions of seamen.
7. Support seamen in the practice of religions.
