Current
Clients : Stella Maris Centre, Phket, has been set up to provide pastoral
care to seafarers and workers in ships when docked. It promotes physical
and spiritual safety as well as promoting good relatoionships with
families when their members travel or are eway from home. |
At
present, ships anchor for much short time on shore. However, the fishing
industry has grown much bigger with foreign fishery workers coming
to work in fishing boats in this province. They are mainly from Burma,
that have entered the country illegally,. This cause several roblems.
Therefore, Stella Maris,Phuket , provides assistance to indiviuals
and groups on an humanitarian basis. |
