Current
Clients : Baan Mitratorn, or Home of Caring Friends" is a home
for affected orphans whose parents died of AIDS. In the past, Baan
Mitratorn had only one building, which could accommodate only 25-30
children. Later, the Foundation found that the number of affected
orphans was on the rise. Therefore, it decided to build 4 more buildings.
At present, it operates 5 building for 53 children. |

Objectives |

Help affected
orphans whose parents died of AIDS to get good care. |

Support
affected orphans to get love and affection and proper medical care. |

orphans to grow up physically and spiritually according to their ages. |

Lighten
social burden and promote society on mutual aid to human fellows who
fall victims of AIDS. |

Co-operate
with public sector to address the problems of abandoned orphans. |

Activities |
1.

Provide
basic necessities for life, including consumer goods and affection
with attentive care from religious sisters and all attendants and
nurses. |
2. |
Co-ordinate
with public sector for the children to have access to anti-retroviral
therapy. |
3. |
Implement
healthcare project for children and arrange for their meeting with
medical doctors every month. |
4. |
Support
the children to get education by enrolling them at local schools according
to their ages. |
5. |
Assess physical
and spiritual health and ongoing education of the children. |
6. |
Organise
camp for psychological development. |
7. |
Prepare
to expand the Home to accommodate affected orphans, the number of
which has a trend to rise in the future. |
